INTOKOZOYAM HOLDINGS (PTY) LTD, trading as INTOKOZOYAMI, respects your privacy and protects personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
INTOKOZOYAMI is a South African creative economic ecosystem using fashion to support enterprise development, local manufacturing, education, cultural preservation and township economic growth.
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Your name and contact details;
- Your role, organisation and professional information;
- Event, programme or application information;
- Emails, messages, meeting records and correspondence;
- Photographs, video or audio recordings;
- Supplier, contractual, invoicing or payment information; and
- Website enquiries, form submissions and basic technical information.
We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for a clear and lawful purpose.
Why we use your information
We may use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and communicate with you;
- Manage partnerships, programmes, events and projects;
- Process applications and registrations;
- Engage designers, speakers, suppliers, funders and other stakeholders;
- Maintain governance, contractual and financial records;
- Produce approved event, learning and promotional material;
- Protect our systems, records and organisational interests; and
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
Where consent is required, you may withdraw it at any time. This will not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
How we receive information
We usually collect information directly from you. We may also receive it from an organisation you represent, an authorised representative, a project partner, a service provider, a referee, a professional public profile or a lawful public register.
Who we share it with
We may share only the information necessary with authorised representatives, project partners, venues, suppliers, professional advisers, funders, payment providers, technology providers or regulators where there is a lawful and legitimate reason.
Service providers processing information for us must preserve confidentiality and apply appropriate security safeguards.
International processing
Some authorised digital platforms may store information outside South Africa. We permit cross-border processing only where appropriate legal protection or another lawful basis under POPIA applies.
How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for its purpose or required by law, contract, funding conditions, audit requirements or dispute resolution. Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified.
Photography and recordings
Our programmes and events may be photographed, filmed or recorded for operational, learning, reporting, publicity or media purposes. We will provide an appropriate notice and request consent where required.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask whether we hold your personal information;
- Request access to it;
- Request correction or deletion;
- Object to certain processing;
- Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent;
- Opt out of direct marketing; and
- Submit a complaint to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
